The Groom's Checklist

The bride will be outfitting her wedding attendants, and it is your responsibility to make sure that you and the groomsmen are properly outfitted.

How to get started? Here is a checklist that you can follow to make this job easier.

3 Months in Advance
__ Decide what you and your groomsmen will wear. Start shopping for a tuxedo or shop around for rentals. Tuxedos come in a variety of fabrics and finishing details. Be sure to try on different styles and quality of fabrics.

Convey to the store assistant the formality of your wedding and they will be able to guide you in the right direction. Take some of the guys with you, but stay on track with the theme of your wedding.

1 Month Before
__ If you have decided to buy a tux if you have decided to purchase one. Make sure alterations are finished and go in for a final fitting. If more alterations need to be done, there is still plenty of time.

2 Weeks Before
__ Get a haircut!

1 Week to go
__ Get a manicure, facial or what suits you - just get pampered!

The Day Before
__ If you’re renting, pick up your tux. Take all the guys with you and be sure they try them on before leaving the store. THIS IS A MUST! Make sure your groomsmen everyone is happy with the fit and that all pieces are matching.

__ Make sure all the pieces are included in the correct size: jacket, trousers, shirt, tie, vest or cummerbund, shoes, cuff links, and dress socks.

__ If you are dressing somewhere other than at home, organize your entire outfit today.

From top to bottom, you should gather:

__ Hair products
__ Deodorant
__ Tie
__ Cummerbund or belt
__ Vest
__ Coat or jacket
__ Cuff links and studs
__ Dress shirt
__ Watch
__ Trousers
__ Undershirt
__ Underwear
__ Socks
__ Shoes
__ Clothes to change into

Your Big Day!
__Take a hot shower.
